The first time is always memorable. It was my first time being a part of the Asian Festival of 1st Films and so the incandescent memories will be forever emblazoned in my mind.
The festival is a wonderful tribute to first-time filmmakers and the exceptional films they create. It is also a bridge that narrows the schism between countries and cultures.
As words fail us, we rely on images to communicate. And so films speak to us in that universal language we comprehend.
With each first film, it is only the beginning. May there be more to come.
